What to wear to a Mardi Gras / Masquerade party?
I have a party coming up that is "Mardi Gras/ Masquerade" themed. It's not a ball or anything super fancy, but I still want to look nice. I'm not really sure what to wear.
I'm a girl, so I'll wear a dress, but what kind? What color?
Masks are of course a must.
What would look good on me, but still be suitable for an outdoors party of this theme?
I'm 5'10'', brunette and in between a US size 4 and 6.
Shoes, Jewelry?

P.S. I've google searched this, and all I found were really slutty costumes. This is a party with all my friends and their parents... So I'm definitely NOT going to wear one of those gross store-bought costumes.
